Heritage Park is a non-profit wildife sanctuary located a few miles north of Prescott, Arizona. Formerly known as Heritage Park Zoo, the sanctuary not only saves and cares for rescued or incapacited animals, but serves as a teaching facility with touching stories to tell about the creatures that call it home.

Animals at the zoo live in natural habitats and are displayed in a manner that protects their comfort while educating the public on the interesting aspects of both the individual animal and their species. The zoo's mission, "Conservation through Education," means visitors have the unique experience of getting close to and learning about exotic or rare creatures they otherwise might never see in person while taking away the belief that preserving these animals in the wild is a worthwhile goal.

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary offers education outside the zoo through their outreach program as well as guided tours of the facility. There are also many opportunities for volunteers to get involved with this donation-based organization.

Travelers: Good news! Your zoo membership may entitle you to discounts at other zoos when traveling around the country. Call ahead for details.
